Dr. Alex Gett, PT, DPT, CSCS, RSCC, USAW-1

Alex, the owner of Perform Strong Physical Therapy, has a rich background in sports and rehabilitation. Formerly a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Kansas City Royals Baseball Organization, Alex successfully transitioned into Sports Physical Therapy, leveraging his extensive experience across the Central states, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

In 2020, Alex earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. Before founding Perform Strong Physical Therapy, he served as both a Staff Physical Therapist and Clinic Director in the Sports Medicine setting at various clinics. Treatment specialties include post-operative rehab and in-season pain management of the shoulder and elbow, ACL reconstruction rehabilitation, various tendinopathies, and acute hamstring injuries.

Alex is well-versed in the complexities of athlete rehabilitation. Passionate about health and wellness, Alex focuses on optimizing sports performance and recovery, with a special interest in overhead and Olympic athletes. His commitment to personalized care ensures that each athlete receives expert attention throughout their rehabilitation journey, enhancing their recovery and athletic prowess.

Alex is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW-1). Alex authored “Periodized Arm Care for the Overhead Athlete” in 2022 and hosts “The Performance Rehabilitation and Strength Training Podcast,” where he dives into all things strength and rehab. The podcast covers cutting-edge techniques, recovery strategies, and expert insights to help athletes enhance their performance and overcome injuries.
