
Dr. Matt Kirchner, PT, DPT, SCS
Matt obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Messiah University in 2022. He then went on to complete a sports residency with Upstream Rehabilitation in 2023 and became a board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist in 2024. While working for his previous employer, Upstream Rehabilitation, he was recognized quarterly for his outstanding patient outcomes that exceeded the company’s standards. His treatment specialties include managing post-operative cases, ACL reconstructions, knee and ankle injuries, acute sports injuries, and concussions. He has presented his research at the Combined Sections Meeting, the national conference of the APTA, on rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction. Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, Matt worked as a strength and conditioning coach in collegiate, high school, and private sectors from 2015 to 2019. As a strength and conditioning coach, he has worked with athletes at all levels, from youth to professional. Matt graduated from Lock Haven University in 2015, where he was a four-year starter at linebacker. For the past decade, he has coached high school football at Central Dauphin and volunteers his time planning and running their off-season weight room program.
